I had planned to share a salad recipe with you today, hoping that Spring would have kicked in with warmer, sunnier days. I’m not sure what it’s like where you are, but here in North London it’s still feeling pretty cold and blustery so I’ll save that for another day! Here is a round up of Spring-not-Spring recipes that I hope you’ll enjoy instead. Let’s all do a sun dance in the hope that next week I can share that salad recipe with you!
Before we launch into the recipes, some news! In case you haven’t already heard, I’m thrilled to share with you my new cookbook, Real Healthy. Real Healthy = Unprocess your diet with easy everyday recipes. Over 90 delicious, healthy and life-friendly recipes to help you steer clear of UPFs and enjoy a rainbow of veg, fruit, beans, whole grains, spices, herbs and more.
Lots of us are looking to cut back on ultra-processed foods (UPFs) but having spoken to many of you on here, I know just how difficult it can be to avoid them in our busy, busy lives. I really hope that Real Healthy offers simple solutions to help you tackle those tricky problem areas.
This is your new guide to navigating those UPF pain points and cooking from scratch - Tim Spector said it was “a delicious guide to eating the healthy way” (thanks Tim!!)
If you’re able to, I’d adore it if you’d consider pre-ordering your copy 📚 Pre-orders make a big difference as they let retailers know what books people are most excited about so they can stock up on more copies. You won’t be charged until the book is published and the price is guaranteed - meaning you get it at the lowest price. Thank you for your support.
Spring-not-Spring recipe round up
Filipino-style rice soup with crispy garlic
Roasted cauliflower and lentils
See you next week, hopefully with a brand new salad recipe!
Lovely! Really looking forward to your Real Healthy book Melissa. Eating a diet virtually free of UPFs is not that difficult but it takes a mindset change...after all, it's not so long ago that UPFs didn't even exist and we cooked from scratch.
looks delicious!
