While searching my recipe archives, I found these funny photos from a few years ago, 2019 actually. It was an honour to be on the cover of the esteemed Observer Food Monthly again though I got a bit stressed on the day. This time with chef Andi Oliver & food personality Fred Siriex (First Dates fame). I was tasked with blind taste-testing mince pies (scroll down for a much better homemade mince pie recipe) We were jumping up and down like mad rabbits in high heels onto this rickety shopping trolley that was full of food AND Fred. It was manic as Fred was très busy and had to leave early so we only had about 15 minutes to get the cover shot before he au revoired). I was anxiously inches from breaking an ankle each time we leapt in the air.

Food ideas to take over if you’re not the one cooking:
A bespoke jar of chocolate happiness balls (recipe below)
My fave olive oil is sold out but this is gorgeous too
A bundle of ingredients like Za’atar herb blend and the best dates ever
Odysea really special honey and pomegranate molasses
Belazu tahini and a jar of their rose harissa or this crispy chilli oil
Tinned British seafood (YES to tinned fish for Christmas presents, why not!?)
Not a food but I love this Sweet Bee organic magnesium balm to rub into feet for better relaxation and sleep over the stimulating holiday period.
